Consortium for Maritime Research
Facilitating maritime research at Old Dominion University and the Hampton Roads region.
Old Dominion University sits in the middle of one of the world's most significant ports with diverse maritime interests. Recognizing this special opportunity, the faculty researchers in the University are creating a Consortium for Maritime Research. Initial efforts have been led by the Colleges of Sciences, in collaboration with the Colleges of Arts and Letters, and the College of Business and Public Administration.
Goal of the Consortium
The goal of the consortium is to facilitate research in all areas related to the maritime at Old Dominion University and the Hampton Roads region.
Spring 2008 CMR Monthly Meetings
Members of CMR (anyone interested in any maritime topic) meet monthly on the first Wednesday at noon or at another announced time. The agenda usually includes a roundtable of items of interest, sometimes and invited speaker and other CMR business.
