EA Elemental Analyzer-ESD 100 Mass Spectrometer with In Process Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer

This instrument is designed for combustion of samples to produce CO₂, H₂O, N₂, and SO₂. The yields of these gases can be measured by a thermal conductivity detector to quantitatively determine the elemental composition of the sample (C,H,N,S content).  The CO₂ and N₂ can be routed to the In Process mass spectrometer where the ratios of ¹³C to ¹²C as well as the ratios of ¹⁵N to ¹⁴N can be measured.
