Research Equipment and Facilities

Vibracoring system adaptable to marshes, floodplains and other saturated soils

Trailer-mounted auger/drill rig (CME-45) capable of 30m- deep stratigraphic test holes and wells

Ground-penetrating radar system used for evaluating shallow strata between test holes

Shallow-draft boats to access tidal creeks and marshes

Monitoring well construction tools including augers and surveying levels

Water sampling tools including pumps, bailers, pressure transducers, and pH/conductivity meters

Malvern system for rapid particle size analyses

Geochemistry labs for nutrients and other analytes

Cryogenic "frozen finger" samplers for marsh sedimentation
