Leg2 Ship Track

The second leg (HY05-03) or leg 2 of HOTRAX '05 is shown in the file below. This cruise will leave from Dutch Harbor, Alaska in the Aleutian Islands on August 5 and end in Tromso, Norway on Sept. 30. There will be a stop at the North Pole for a traditional ice party with both icebreakers. Approximately 2 weeks of this leg will be conducted jointly with the Swedish icebreaker, Oden. There will be an international collection of scientists on both ships, about 35 on Oden and about 40 on Healy including technicians.
