Research Interests:
Dr. Orvis' research areas of interest include employee training and development and non-cognitive predictors of workplace behaviors and attitudes. Her research in the area of training and development focuses on employee and leader self-development, videogame-based training, and e-learning. Dr. Orvis' second area of interest focuses on understanding the impact of non-cognitive predictors, such as personality and self-efficacy, on employee performance and attitudes. Other research interests include: understanding predictors and consequences of psychological contract development and breach, and identifying ways in which to reduce the mean subgroup differences of cognitively-based selection measures.
