Special Events

In cooperation with the ODU and Tidewater Chapters of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, the Eastern Virginia Medical School, and the Virginia Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation Center, the ODU human factors program hosts a variety of speakers throughout the year.Past speakers have included Dr. Eduardo Salas (training), Dr. Christopher Wickens (task performance), Dr. Raja Parasuraman (automation), and Dr. Marilyn Sue Bogner (medical errors).

The human factors program also participates in a yearly open house during the spring, at which time invited prospective students may visit the department to find out more about current research and graduate programs.
