Student Funding and Tuition

All students admitted to the program receive funding and full tuition remission. Students admitted with a Bachelor's degree are guaranteed funding for at least 4 years, pending acceptable performance. Types of funding include research and teaching assistantships, fellowships, grants, and scholarships. Nearly all forms of funding require that the student be engaged in full-time graduate study. Graduate fellowships and assistantships typically range from $12,000 to $15,000 or more.  For senior doctoral students (e.g., 5th year students), additional sources of funding (e.g., from teaching or consulting) are also available.

For information about student loans and other sources of financial aid, contact the Office of Student Financial Aid, Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA 23529-0052; (757) 683-3683.
