Arnoldo Valle-Levinson,Associate Professor of Ocean, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, is installing a current profiler on the boat mounting harness in Bahia Concepcion, in the Gulf of California, Mexico.

Across from him is Dr. Guillermo Gutierrez, a colleague from CICESE (Centro de Investigacion y Educacion Superior de Ensenada) in La Paz, Mexico and next to him is Hernando Torres, the boat captain.
