Progress Report Grades

University policy states that students in 100 and 200 level courses must receive feedback on their progress in these courses before the mid-point in the semester. ODU's Early Alert Response System asks faculty teaching 100-200 level classes to post Progress Report grades to Leo Online starting in the 5th week of each semester. This initiative is intended to provide students with feedback on their progress before the mid-point in the semester in order to improve students' academic success. The individual student is the only person who has access to view this information through LEO Online. However, once grades are posted, students having difficulty will be contacted via email and encouraged to meet with an advisor if their name appears on the list of those who are earning a grade of C- or below to identify problem areas and determine the best course of action for academic success. Please note that these grades are only a "snapshot" in time of a student's progress in a class; progress report grades are not updated after they are posted. Students should contact their instructor if they would like to discuss their progress later in the semester.

ALL QUESTIONS ABOUT MID-TERM GRADES SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO THE COURSE INSTRUCTOR.

To view mid-term grades:

  1. Log in to the LEO Online secure website
  2. Select Admissions, Registration... etc.
  3. Select Student Records
  4. Select Progress Report Grades
  5. Select a term (i.e., Spring 2010). NOTE: If the current term is not available for selection, NO mid-term grades have been posted for you for this term. If a grade does not display for a course, one has not been assigned or reported by the instructor.
  6. Be sure to log out of LEO Online when you are done.
