Students at Old Dominion University can choose GRADE FORGIVENESS to replace the grade of any class in which a grade of C- or lower was earned.
Important Considerations:
Only the most recentlyearned grade will be computed in the GPA regardless of whether the most recent grade is higher or lower than the original grade.
All grades appear on a student's transcript, although only the most recent is calculated into the GPA.
Grade Forgiveness can only be used once for the same course.
The most recent GPA is used for determining continuance and graduation status but is NOT used for determining graduation with Honors and Dean's List.
Grade Forgiveness is automatic. If you register for a course for which you have already earned credit it is assumed that you are choosing the Grade Forgiveness option.
You should consult your advisor prior to taking a class for grade forgiveness, retaking a class may delay your graduation.
