Overall Requirements
To earn a baccalaureate degree from Old Dominion University, a student in the College of Sciences must satisfy three overall, primary requirements. A student must:
- Complete a minimum of 120 credit hours of academic study;
- Maintain an acceptable overall, and degree specific, Grade Point Average (GPA);
(Note: Minimum acceptable GPA requirements vary by specific degree. Consult your advisor.)
- Successfully complete all courses needed to meet Lower Division, Major, and Upper Division Requirements.
In addition to meeting the overall requirements, a student must:
- Complete the Freshman and Senior Assessments;
- Pass the Exit Examination of Writing Proficiency;
- Apply for Graduation;
