Overall Requirements

To earn a baccalaureate degree from Old Dominion University, a student in the College of Sciences must satisfy three overall, primary requirements. A student must:

• Complete a minimum of 120 credit hours of academic study;
• Maintain an acceptable overall, and degree specific, Grade Point Average (GPA);
  (Note: Minimum acceptable GPA requirements vary by specific degree. Consult your advisor.)
• Successfully complete all courses needed to meet Lower Division, Major, and Upper Division Requirements.

In addition to meeting the overall requirements, a student must:

• Complete the Freshman and Senior Assessments;
• Pass the Exit Examination of Writing Proficiency;
• Apply for Graduation;
