All I want for Christmas...

...in the DEAN’S OFFICE

Dean Thomas Isenhour wrote the adjacent letter to Santa....I hope he gets his wish!

Dear Santa:
I have been a good dean, even though that is an oxymoron. For Christmas I want a Beechcraft B58 Baron, pressurized if possible.

Thank You

Tommy

Jan Smith Career Advantage Liaison for Sciences:
I want a black cashmere sweater; a job [professional, with benefits] for my son; a new car for my daughter; and a thriving IB business for my husband. Also, if I add the University to the list, it would be that we--the entire University community--stop pretending that we are second class and claim those things and areas in which we are truly excellent. My plans include taking off beginning on December 14. I will bake and make gifts. I will visit a number of folks I don't see routinely and take an infirm friend shopping and deliver her family's presents. I will walk my dog extra; go to Williamsburg with my daughter to celebrate her birthday and mine; get an extra massage or two; go to an auto junk store to buy my son a set of matching hub caps; read a bunch; sleep; have lunch with my daughter; go see my husband at work; watch "It's a Wonderful Life" and "A Christmas Carol"; listen to Christmas music when the whole house is dark except for the lights on the tree; go with my husband and kids to his folks for brunch Christmas morning; cook dinner for my whole family for Christmas night. Also, will work out at the YMCA more than usual so I can eat more than usual.
