College of Sciences Surpasses Its CVC Goal!
The College of Sciences collected $18,000 in Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign donations for the 2001/02 drive. This is 109.50% of goal. Three of the 8 units that come under the college reached over 100% of their goals thus bringing the entire college over goal. Congratulations to Biology (146.50%), Physics (114.35%) and Psychology (217.75%).
Thanks to the 112 people who contributed through the CVC, 8 of those who are Keel Club members (donated $500 or more). A special thanks to the department representatives who committed their time to help make the campaign successful:
Kerry Kilburn, BiologyThe University goal was $113,000. As of December 10, 2001 a total of $119,334 had been collected campus wide. Of the 15 units that collectively contribute toward the University goal, the College of Sciences generally donates the most dollars per unit. This year, our collections generated over 15% of University contributions.
