Who's Who
In the June 13, 2003 Courier (Old Dominion University's campus newspaper for faculty, staff, students and friends) Milissa Story, Office Manager for the College of Sciences, was highlighted. As the office manager, she balances many tasks from scheduling meetings for the dean to coordinating the college's participation in commencement.
Story, an employee at ODU since January 1999, has quickly become an active member of the university community. She is historian, legislative representative and first vice president of the Hourly and Classified Employees Association (HACE). She was the organization's representative on the Provost Search Committee that hired the current provost, Thomas Isenhour. Outside of the university, Story is a member of the American Association of Public Administrators, Defenders of Wildlife and the Peninsula chapter of the SPCA.
Milissa Story
She earned a bachelor's degree in government and public administration in 2002 from Christopher Newport University and is currently working on a master's degree in public administration at Old Dominion and plans to go to law school upon completion.
Her favorite ways to spend non-working times include kayaking, sailing, cycling (bicycle and motorcycle), reading and cross stitching.
Milissa recently received a promotion and is the new office and fiscal manager for the Department of Biological Sciences.
