Third Annual College of Sciences Classified Appreciation Picnic

Early June, the College organized a picnic - with a lot of help from Alicia Herr and Tammy Subotich from the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. The theme was "Jamaican Me Cra-zee Mah'n". Everyone was encouraged to dress in island attire and come hungry for jerk chicken, red snapper, black beans and rice, mango glazed carrots and fried plantains. Non alcoholic frozen fruit drinks were served amid pink flamingos, paper pineapples and other island decor.

Colm Whelan, chair of the Department of Physics, won the "Best Island Dressed Contest."

Numerous drawings were held for island prizes of every kind: pink flamingos, ice bucket, blender, Zen Garden, hula hoops, Island Auto Decor figurines and more. Everyone enjoyed a multiple choice quiz.
