| Dr Nowroozi came to Old Dominion University in 1982 as Professor of Geophysics. He was Professor in Department of mathematics and Statistics,1965-1997, Director of Geological Sciences Program 1995-1997, Professor, Department of Ocean Earth and Atmospheric sciences 1997-2002. Prior to 1982 he was working at Atomic Organization of Iran in many capacities.Vice President in charge of Exploration and Fuel (1979-1981). Head Nuclear Regulatory Directorate and Director of Environmental Protection Division(1977-1979). Director of Site and Environmental Protection Division (1975-1977), Chief Geophysicists, (1974-1975). During 1973- 1974, Dr Nowroozi was Associate Professor of Geophysics, Shiraz University, Iran. From 1965 to 1973 Dr Nowroozi was Research Associate at Lamont-Doherty Geological Observatory of Columbia University New York , US. He is an Emeritus Professor from 2002, and was reappointed as Adjunct Professor in 2005. |
