Physics Undergraduate Introductory Lab Information
Physics Undergraduate Labs
OCNPS Rooms: 138, 140, 144, & 224Undergraduate teaching labs are designed to reinforce information presented during course lectures by providing students "hands-on" opportunities to explore the concepts and principles of physics.
Lab FacilitiesA wide variety of professional-grade experimental equipment is provided for each lab, and data collection is accomplished through the use of modern, high speed computers and specialized lab software programs (Labview & DataStudio). |

The layout of each lab is focused around a particular course or series of courses.
Lab 138: Physics 102/111/226/231N
Lab 140: Physics 101/112/227/232N
Lab 142: Physics 103/104/126/127N
Lab 146: Physics 120/420/520
Lab 224: Physics 303/304/332/413W
Lab InstructionAll instruction is provided by faculty members or graduate teaching & research assistants. Physics concepts and principles are explored via both structured and non-structured experimentation and the number of students enrolled in each lab section is carefully controlled to provide an optimum learning environment. |
